Kindly be informed that in view that the MCA HQ Election Steering Committee (ESC) has proposed to the MCA Central Committee to include Article 11.4 in the “Rules Governing The Election of MCA Office-Bearers at All Levels 2023” to avoid any confusion pertaining to the ballot papers in the upcoming Divisional elections. The related additional Article are as follows:

The name of the candidates and the number of candidates to be elected for the relevant positions must be in bilingual (Mandarin is compulsory but can choose either English or Malay).

As such, the 32nd MCA Central Committee meeting held on 5 May 2023 has adopted the above proposal.

We hope that the person in charge at all levels will strictly abide by Article 11 of the Ballot Papers when printing the ballot papers for the upcoming Divisional elections to avoid any disputes and to ensure that the Assemblies and Elections will be conducted smoothly.
